Europa (Cafe Europa), 4318 California Street, San Francisco, CA 94118, operates this website. This notice explains what personal information we collect through it, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into a form on this site. Depending on the form, that is:

• Table reservations: first and last name, phone number, number of guests, date and time, and any comments you add.
• Catering enquiries: name, phone number, event details and your message.
• Private event enquiries: name, phone number, event date, guest count and your message.

We do not ask for payment card details anywhere on this site, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on it.

Why we use it

Solely to respond to your request — to confirm a booking, quote an event, or answer a question. We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent personal information.

Who receives it

When you submit a form, the message is delivered to a private staff channel on Telegram so our team can act on it. Beyond that, a small number of service providers process data on our behalf:

• Cloudflare — hosting and security for this website; it processes your IP address and request metadata to serve pages and block abuse.
• Telegram — delivery of form submissions to our staff channel.
• Google — the fonts and the embedded map on our contact page are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
• jsDelivr — the date-picker used in the booking form is loaded from this content delivery network.

How long we keep it

Reservation and enquiry messages stay in our staff channel for as long as we need them to run the restaurant — normally no longer than 24 months — and are deleted sooner on request.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own and does not profile visitors. The embedded Google map may set cookies from Google when it loads; you can block those in your browser settings without affecting the rest of the site.

Your rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law.

If you contact us from the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and you may object to our processing of it. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Children

This website is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
